Ruth and John were married on Inis Oirr (Inisheer), one of the beautiful Aran Islands. There wedding story was built around islands so it was only fitting that they celebrated here.
Ruth, originally from Inis Oirr, met John from Australia on Fraser Island while on a back packing holiday. Love blossomed and when Ruth returned home to Inis Oirr, John followed soon after and relocated to Ireland and became one of the Islanders.
With so much beauty on the Island and wanting to capture as much as possible we planned a first look at O'Briens Castle at the highest point on the island. After a short hike we took full advantage of the views and also did our bridal portraits with a stunning backdrop.
From here we headed for the ceremony in Aras Eanna, which had been decorated by family and friends with some last minute bits arriving on the same ferry as myself early that morning. With no aisle to walk up, Ruth was walked off the horse and trap by her father and walked up the center path to John.
An emotional intimate ceremony performed by Dara Molly was followed by music and drinks in the yard outside Aras Eanna. Before John dropped me to the ferry we headed for the beach to let the hair down and another small bridal shoot.
