2014 was a mighty year for Gary Collins Photography (and my background partner - Aoife). We had many firsts and many fantastic experiences. I will give a brief look at the year here but feel free to pop on by Facebook or look back over the blog for a full look back at the year. The first item on the 2014 calendar was a studio at a Dance Competition. Feile Rince Ui Bhriain on the 19th of January was the occasion and it was a very successful day. I had fun both with the studio and capturing some little moments during the prize givings over the day. Another first next - A fashion Show - This was in aid of Rice College Ennis and I was going along to take images for mystylemykey's blog which also appeared in The Clare People. Next up was the Pakie Ryan Memorial Event where after catching some nervous athletes at the start I took up my usual station close to the finish line to catch some serious and funny moments. It was finally time for my first wedding!! The lead up to this I was a nervous wreck. While I had full confidence in my own ability, I was really putting myself our there! You can pop on by here to have a look at the full album but this little cutie kept us entertained during the day :) Along with the wedding I provided a photobooth. This went down a blast and was in constant demand all night. Next up was Johnny & Liz for an engagement shoot. We took a stroll around Dromoland and had a good chilled session. You can pop by the album for a full look. A few more photobooths came along then :) Make sure to click on over to facebook for a look at all the photobooths from the year. Johnny & Liz's wedding was next on the agenda - A fantasic day was had. Swing by for a look...........here :) Next up was a double whammy again - Wedding and Photobooth for Ann-Marie & Sean. There was a major GAA theme to this wedding as can be seen in the full album here. As a break from the weddings I went back to my first passion - Irish Dance. I got the opportunity to get some time in the rehearsals for Take the Floor in UL. The next wedding on my list was my old dancing buddy Owen Joe and Mariam. This wedding just exploded online for me. After recording some video of them and the touring friends dancing I received over 60,000 views to the facebook album and hundred of shares of the videos from the page. I also had images used in the dailyrecord in Scotland, and multiple appearances on the net via her.ie, irish central and a host of other sites. Here is one of the videos. Pop on by youtube for a look at the rest :) I also dipped my toe into the corporate/interior photography world, doing some shots for a new Bridal Boutique in Clare. I had a lot of fun on this shoot as again, like most of 2014, it was a first :) The year has finished off with a few more weddings, which I will update here once the Bride and Groom see their images :). To give you a sneak peak I will leave a few below :)
It has been an amazing year for Aoife and I, and I know I have left lots out of the recap, too much to include everything, and we would like to thank you all for your support and looking forward to 2015 and all it brings. I have no doubt there will be plenty of firsts there too :) Thanks, Gary ;) Comments are closed.
