Summer wedding season is not good for blogging so now it's Autumn it's time to catch up! Today's blog shares some images from Alan & Aideen's day in October 2015.
Aideen and Alan were married in a family centric day in Ennis, Co. Clare surrounded by their boys, families and friends. Alan and I hurled together for Newmarket on Fergus so it was great to be out of the hurling gear and involved in the day. This union of Eire Og and Newmarket on Fergus was celebrated greatly in both parishes, with the ceremony in Ennis and reception in Dromoland. For photographs we headed to Ballybeg Woods in Ennis and the Inn at Dromoland viewing platform on a lovely autumnal day. Church: St. Peter & Paul Cathedral, Ennis, Co. Clare Reception: The Inn at Dromoland, Newmarket on Fergus, Co. Clare Here's a look at their day:

Home from Vancouver, Canada to finalise their April 2017 wedding plans, I met Tracey and James at the Falls Hotel and we took off in my car up along the Clare coastline. Having been away from Ireland for 7 years, Tracey was keen to refresh the memory for some spots for the wedding day photos, while James, being a Cork man was getting a first view of most.
We took in Clahane in Liscannor and The Cliffs of Moher for some inspo. I first met Edel (and little Finn) at their family home and instantly felt welcomed, having to sit down and have the tea and left over birthday cake before we could leave the house :)
From my arrival on the morning it was an all hands on deck kind of wedding day. There was bridesmaids on Finn watch and cooking pancakes and I managed to pick up a few extra jobs myself transporting flowers and baby bits :) The weather unfortunately took from our plan of getting the bridal portraits done on the cliffs beside Edel's home but we managed to get a brief light spell on the wild garlic and bluebell lined driveway up to the house and the beautiful hallway of the house was ideal for some portraits. Here is a little peak into the day. Laura and Brendan were recently married at The Star of the Sea, Quilty with their reception taking place in The Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Here is a sneak peak of their day, with a full blog post to follow shortly. When I first met Deirdre & Kevin I knew their wedding day would be full of smiles and stress free. This was certainly the case on the day! The wedding took place in Deirdre's home village of Cross and a warm welcome was extended to the travelling clan from Dublin.
I was made feel very welcome from the moment I stepped in the front door and was not allowed take the camera out of the bag until I sat down and had a cup of tea and a scone! Church : Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Cross, Kilkee Co. Clare Reception : The Inn at Dromoland, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co. Clare Here are a few photos from their wedding day: Denisa and Klaudio travelled from Croatia to be married in Ireland. After visiting the west coast of Ireland last year and getting engaged in Galway, they both wanted their wedding day to be here.
With their closest friends along side them, they had a ceremony at the Oranmore Lodge Hotel, Galway and went a little bit against tradition by having the best man and chief bridesmaid give their speech prior to the ceremony. This certainly relaxed everybody and had us all in fits of laughter. Denisa fell in love with the Cliffs of Moher on their engagement trip so we then travelled to Doolin to get them in the background of their images. We had intended on going up the Cliffs but the weather had other ideas! Despite the wind and rain they braved the Wild Atlantic Way and below is a little snapshot of the day with the very smiley couple! Wedding season 2016 is well and truly underway, with the busyness of the last month I'm only getting to this blog post now, a good complaint!
Up to now I've been offering silver and tin branded USB's and presentation cases as part of my wedding photography packages and as my business develops I thought it was time for a new USB and Presentation Box style too. My wedding album suppliers, Loxley Colour, brought out new USB's this year and I'm delighted to present these as my USB and Presentation Boxes from now on. Being from the same supplier means they are a perfect match to my wedding albums too. The USB is black in colour and can be personalised with text in various font finishes. The Presentation Box is a leatherette finish, available in a selection of colours and can be personalised with text. This text can be printed onto the Presentation Box or embossed (as done in the sample below) in a variety of fonts. For the brides and grooms who want something different I'm now also offering a wooden USB and Presentation Box and USB/Album Box, while I'm waiting for my samples to arrive, have a look at my Facebook post on them here. A full blog post on this will follow shortly too. Here are a few photos of my sample USB and Presentation Box. Do get in touch if you want to arrange a viewing of this and/or my wedding photography album samples. Ita and John had an intimate family wedding with their family and closest friends present. When I met Ita and John I could tell they were very relaxed and that Ita would have a little bit of a quirky style on the day.
Church : St Camillus Registration Office, Limerick Reception : No 1 Pery Square, Limerick Here are a few photos from their wedding day: I first met Ashley and Chris when we did an engagement shoot at the site of the Battle of the Boyne (see here for more on this day) and I knew then their smiles would make my job easy! Both from Dublin they married in Tallaght church and had their reception in the Knightsbrook hotel in Trim, Co. Meath. The bridal photos had been planned for Trim Castle with Chris making all of the arrangements to do so, not a straightforward task by any means. However, unfortunately Ashley and Chris' day was one of Septembers wettest and despite a few phonecalls between Chris and myself on the spin down from the church, the day wasn't with us and we had to move indoors. Thankfully the Knightsbrook were well prepared for us, having their reception balcony with its amazing chandelier view ready for the bridal/family photos and we had done some of the family photos at the church.
Church : St. Dominic's Church, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Co. Dublin Reception : Knightsbook Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath Noelle and Michael had an intimate family wedding on a sunny, blue sky day in September 2015. I've known both Micheal and Noelle for years through hurling together for Newmarket on Fergus and primary school (a long time ago :) ) so I was delighted they asked me to photograph their special day. The bridal party and wedding couple photos were all shot in the grounds of the Castle Oaks Hotel.
