These awards recognise the success, dedication and extremely high levels of quality and service given by the local wedding industry.
Voting on the awards is open to the public and you can vote for me via the following link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Z9QFYCD Thank you very much for your time and consideration! We just got notification that we are nominated for a Weddingsonline award in the PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR category!!
The shortlist will be announced on the 25th November with the winners announced at a gala reception on the 15th February 2016. For more on these awards see http://www.weddingsonline.ie/blog/awards/vote/ We would again like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, family and friends for their business, help and support. Thanks, Gary & Aoife :) Gary Collins Photography are delighted to announce we were Highly Commended in the Mrs2Be Brides' Choice Awards in the Best Newcomer category (May 2015)!
The 20th of May was a night of suspense and hope in our house, with the winners announced via Twitter! The virtual ceremony took place from 8pm and the 'Best Newcomer' category was the last award of the night. Finally, at 9.55pm Gary looked up from Twitter to say Mrs2Be had tagged us in a tweet, at which point our internet dropped!! A moment later it kicked back in for us to view the tweet - Highly Commended in the category! We were thrilled!! Only two (I think) other categories had Highly Commended sections so it must have been a close call for the judges. Although we didn't win outright we are still taking this as a great result. We were delighted to have been nominated by our wedding couples, make the finalist list and almost make it as Highly Commended. Again we would like to thank our wedding couples, family and friends for supporting us as we venture into this new business. In the meantime it's back to work! The Mrs2Be Brides' Choice awards are the first and only Irish wedding industry awards that are based on a detailed review process involving each entrant’s previous customers. Entrants are judged on a range of criteria including professionalism and quality. For more on the awards see Mrs2Be. Aoife We just got notification that we are a FINALIST for a Mrs2Be Brides Choice award in the BEST NEWCOMER category!! It really is special as these awards are based on feedback from the couples we have had the pleasure of working with during our first year in business.
We would again like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, family and friends for their business, help and support over the last twelve months. Thanks also to the previous client/s who nominated us for this Mrs2Be Brides Choice award, we really appreciate the support. The winners are announced on the 20th of May at 8pm (Irish time) on Twitter via Mrs2Be's profile - . https://twitter.com/Mrs2Be. Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/GaryPhotogr For more on these awards see http://www.mrs2be.ie/brides-choice-awards/finalists-2015/ Thanks, Gary & Aoife :) Last week I got notification that I was nominated for a Mrs2Be Brides Choice Photography award. To say we were delighted was an understatement! The nomination comes from one (or more, I don't know!) of my previous clients.
These awards are different to others in the wedding area in Ireland as they are not based on public vote, rather next my previous wedding clients will be asked about all aspects of my service and adjudication will take place. Then finalists will be nominated and finally, winners announced in May/June. Fingers crossed we get further in the process but really we are thrilled to have been nominated as we just hit our one year wedding photography anniversary! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our previous clients, family and friends for their business, help and support in the last year, year and a bit, since we entered this photography area. Thanks also to the previous client/s who nominated us for this Mrs2Be Brides Choice award, as I said above Aoife and I are thrilled. For more on these awards see http://www.mrs2be.ie/brides-choice-awards/ Back in the middle of November I mentioned I had been nominated as Travel Photo of the Year 2013. At the time, I didn't realise it was open to other entries also and there was over 550 by the closing date. I was delighted then yesterday to see that I had been picked in the Top 12. Not a victory but still a very good start to the year.
Thanks to all who popped by and voted. Gary :) I have been nominated for 2013 Travel Photo of the Year on travellerspoint.com.
I would greatly appreciate if you could swing by and take the 2 seconds to register and vote for me. You can only vote once so, once you are done that is it. :) Follow this link and away you go. Many Thanks, Gary :) Delighted to receive an email this morning to say my image here of Loop Head Lighthouse on a Summer day has been shortlisted for the "Clare FM - Greatest Place to Stand". Not got much more details other than it will possibly be in their 2014 Calendar and I am in with a chance to win €500. Would be great to win (money would be going straight towards a 24-70 f2,8) but I am just happy that people like the image. Fingers Crossed :) Gary |
